January 8, 2010 ![[LINK]](linkoff.gif) G.I. Joe Sequel Moves Forward
We'll be seeing more of G.I. Joe at theaters. With G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra making over $300 million at the worldwide box office and the cast fully committed in advance for a sequel, there was never really any doubt that there'd be another installment to this film franchise. Paramount said back in August 2009, that the sequel would go into development, but has made no further announcements.
Collider.com is reporting that the writing team of last year's Zombieland, Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are writing the sequel to G.I. Joe. The pair has also been signed to write Deadpool for 20th Century Fox.
